…really sucks!
its a pain in the ass to enter the www with my windows pc here. Luckily I made it to run an old profile on my Mac, so I can go online here.
Our soundcraft 24 track desk is out of order, so I took it out and replaced it by an old farfisa organ that was sitting in another room. I dont need that mixer so badly since I have 8 inputs on my MOTU 828 running.
I am thinking about buying a full drumkit, though. Doing this, I might also need a little mixer to get the various drums mixed down to one stereo track.
Call me nostalgic, but I somehow love that old desk. Whirlpool productions recorded their club hit “from disco:to disco” on it before we bought it from Hans Nieswandt. We produced all of our albums with the help of that mixer.

Hi Roland! Why do you need to mix the drums down to two tracks? I don’t understand.
I wish you had drums back in September! Record drums during the day, go to Schloss Rheydt at niydt. Sounds perfect.
I have been working so much at my job, and I haven’t had time to lay down any drums for your tunes. It makes me sad. I was listening to the songs a couple days ago, and again, I was blown away by them. I sincerely hope people hear this stuff. It’s really wonderful. I’m hoping either this weekend or next, I will be able to spend a few hours with the songs. Did you hear what I did with Julia’s song? I did OK but not great. It was good as a trial-run though.

I had to mix down the drums to two tracks stereo because the old ADAT only had 8 tracks. So I bounced everything that could be reduced to two-track stereo (drums, backing vocals etc.) so that I could use more tracks for other things, like guitars for instance…
Of course I dont have to do that in Logic, where I have as much tracks as I want.
I heard from Barbara that you guys do a lot of work lately. So don’t feel rushed with the drums.
On which of Julias songs did you perform? The new one she did for Wendys company? Gotta listen to that one again…
…wish we had some time to squinsh here.
Barbara is preparing her Paris trip and the fashion show next month…I am pretty excited about the latter.
Thanks for the nice words on my tracks - it would be great if you could lay down some drums this weekend! Have you already decided on a track?
